What Size Goalkeeper Gloves Should I Go For?

Consult the table below to find how our goalkeeper gloves measure up.

Please note:

The following serves as a general guideline. Variations in models, styles, and individual hand shapes mean that your ideal size may differ slightly. Your perfect fit is only truly determined when you wear the glove. If the fit doesn’t meet your expectations, you can easily exchange it for a different size.

How to Measure Your Hand Size

For your initial hand sizing, keep in mind that if your original gloves are unused and in their original packaging, they can always be swapped for a larger or smaller size.

Measure your palm horizontally, as per the guide below, not measuring past the red line.

Compare to the chart on the Size Guide tab.

Each goalkeeper has unique preferences regarding the snugness or looseness of their gloves, so you won’t discover your ideal size until you test a pair for yourself.

Tip: Avoid gloves that fit overly snugly, touching the fingertips, as well as those with excessive space, leading to a “floppy” feel. A glove that is excessively tight might be more prone to tearing, while one that is overly spacious may undermine confidence.

The Importance of Getting the Right Fit for Your Goalkeeping Gloves

Ensuring the proper fit is crucial, as it translates to increased comfort, confidence, and natural ball contact. Gloves that are overly tight may strain materials, leading to premature wear or tears, while excessively loose gloves could result in an unnatural grip on the ball. Glove fit is a matter of personal preference; some may prefer more space while others prefer a snug feel, which explains the choice between cuts like ‘Negative,’ ‘Flat Palm,’ or ‘Roll Finger.’

Typically, goalkeeper gloves are measured from the tip of the middle finger to the base of the palm. However, it’s important to consider the thickness of the glove, which adds some bulk to the measurement. We recommend adding 0.5cm to your measurement for caution, providing a bit more room in your glove. For greater accuracy, utilize our glove sizing tool printout.

If your glove doesn’t quite meet your expectations upon arrival, refer to our returns policy for guidance.

Additional Notes:

Different styles and designs may vary slightly; our guides offer the best chance of finding the perfect fit. And remember, unused gloves in their original condition can always be exchanged for another size!
